My Credentials

As a certified Usui Reiki practitioner, a certified Practitioner in the Let Animals Lead ® method of Animal Reiki created by Kathleen Prasad, and an End of Life animal doula, I’m dedicated to helping both you and your beloved animals achieve relaxation, calm the mind, and a deep sense of inner peace and healing.

My Story

From a young age, I was always deeply connected to the spiritual realm. I could sense, see, feel, and even smell beings that weren’t physically present. I had imaginary friends and often isolated myself because I felt unable to discuss the things I was experiencing, things that were difficult to explain. Quietly, I nurtured my spirituality through conversations with these beings, working with crystals, studying astrology, and journaling. All I ever wanted was to feel understood and included, but anxiety often clouded my path, though I didn’t fully understand it at the time.

Years later, my anxiety reached a peak, driven largely by the fear I sensed and witnessed in others during the COVID-19 pandemic in Las Vegas. I hit rock bottom and realized the only way forward was to look up. It was a difficult, sometimes gut-wrenching journey, and I knew I needed to find a way out. My lifestyle was no longer sustainable.

I needed a profound shift—something only I could bring about. My mind often raced, making it hard to find peace, but I persisted and eventually discovered Reiki while browsing the internet. Although I had heard of Reiki before, I had never experienced it. After some exploration, I found my teacher, mentor, and now dear friend, Michelle Kellogg of Mindful Mystic. I immediately fell in love with Reiki, practicing self-sessions and working with my beloved pets, Bella and Lillie. Further research led me to Jamie Lee of Animal Bonds in Las Vegas and the Let Animals Lead® method of Animal Reiki, created by Kathleen Prasad. This approach resonated deeply with me, particularly because of its hands-off technique. Jamie became not only a mentor and teacher but also a true friend. She introduced me to Windy’s Ranch and Rescue in Nevada, where we practiced Reiki on livestock, taking my understanding and practice to a whole new level. My husband and I, along with Jamie, now plan at least one to two trips there every year.

This is how Diamond in the Ruffs was born. Reiki, to me, is like a bright light—a golden orb, a sea of light, like a Skittles rainbow. In the darkness, it appeared like a nightlight, and I was naturally drawn to it. It was so powerful that I didn’t want to let go, and it pulled me from depths I hadn’t even realized I was in. Today, I stand stronger than the little girl I once was, thanks to Reiki. My heart is full of gratitude, and my mission is to help others find the strength within themselves.

We all carry the light needed to heal and reclaim the lives we are meant to live.

How I became...

Certified End of Life Animal Doula

During the COVID pandemic, I faced the unexpected loss of my beloved Weimaraner, Bella, who was 15 years old. Bella and her sister, Lillie also 15, meant everything to me. When Bella passed, I was at a loss for how to help Lillie, who was also grieving the loss of her best friend. It was heartbreaking to see her in pain, feeling abandoned, and I desperately wanted to support her in the best way possible. This led me to discover an online course from UVM, where I became a certified End of Life Animal Doula. Lillie and I were inseparable, as we all were, but becoming a hospice caregiver to her was an experience I never could have imagined. For two years, I stood by her side with love, patience, and harmony, ensuring she could live her best life at her own pace and with dignity. When the time came, she let me know she was ready.
