  • Grieving the loss of a pet is a deeply personal and difficult experience, and the journey to healing is unique for everyone. My individual support sessions are designed for pet parents seeking personalized guidance and comfort during and following the loss of their beloved companion. Through compassionate one-on-one calls, I provide a safe and caring space where you can share your feelings and emotions, honoring the bond you had with your pet and helping you navigate this difficult time.

**Please note that these individual support calls are not a substitute for a licensed mental health counselor. They are based on a “companioning” model, which focuses on providing support rather than counseling. If you need additional professional help, referrals to licensed counseling services can be provided upon request.

  • Diamond in the Ruffs Animal Wellness, LLC applies The Let Animals Lead® method during each session which is an energy healing approach that empowers animals to maintain a sense of control, wisdom, and independence. This method builds trust through non-verbal communication and connection, allowing the animal to guide the process. It is an entirely energy-based, hands-off therapy unless the animal invites physical interaction.

It’s a spiritual balance between you and your pet, combined with a meditative practice where the animals have the freedom to decide whether or not to enter the healing space. They can choose to receive as much or as little as they desire. Please have an open mind as the session may unfold differently than you anticipate or imagine.

You can find more about Kathleen’s approach on her website, www.animalreikisource.com

  • It is a form of energy healing that is performed without the practitioner being physically present with the animal or individual. This type of session is based on the belief that energy is not confined by time or space, and allows for healing over any distance or the idea that everything in the universe is interconnected energetically. It’s the belief that consciousness and intention can influence health and one’s well being regardless of physical proximity.

This is the perfect option for an animal and individuals if they have been traumatized by the physical presence of a person, feel more comfortable and safe at home, convenience, scheduling conflicts, accessibility, or are traveling and would like to have some additional maintenance. It is also a less intrusive connection for animals during their transitioning phase of life.

I create an energetic connection with the animal or individual by focusing on their name, a photograph, or simply through intention. I often use an item, such as a doll or stuffed animal to represent the animal or individual during the session.

The distant Reiki session is held similarly to one being in person, using hand positions, symbols, and techniques to channel energy. The energy is directed towards the individual with the intent to balance their energy, promote healing, and bring a sense of peace to their well-being. Animals are not “beamed” with Reiki energy, the energetic space is created for them and with the freedom to enter as they wish.

The session is scheduled when the pet or individual is in a quiet home environment and free from interruptions such as the mailman, walks, or meals. The number of sessions that is suggested varies by the animal or individual and what they are experiencing.

If the owner wishes to participate, kindly sit quietly with your pet, set an intention to support the healing process, and observe your pet’s behavior during and after the session. It is important to remember that the animals have the freedom to decide whether or not to enter the healing space.

Please have an open mind as the session may unfold differently than you anticipate or imagine.

  • Rei-ki is a Japanese term that translates to “spiritual higher power” or “life force energy.” This intuitive energy promotes relaxation and reduces stress as it flows through the body, rebalancing the chakra system. Reiki is a gentle and non-invasive energy healing practice that operates at the soul level, guided by love and clear intention, and promotes relaxation, rebalancing, and restoration. It has been known to alleviate physical, mental, and spiritual stress. As a divinely guided energy, Reiki intuitively identifies and releases energy blockages while replenishing areas where energy is depleted. Although Reiki should never replace medical treatment or medications, it works harmoniously with other medical or therapeutic approaches to alleviate side effects and support recovery.

Prior to the session, you are encouraged to eat a light meal, drink plenty of water, and minimize your caffeine and sugar intake at least an hour before your treatment. Drinking lots of water will assist in releasing lower vibrations and negative energies.

You will remain fully clothed and are encouraged to dress comfortably, including wearing socks throughout the session. Please avoid wearing heavy perfume or cologne to ensure a pleasant and balanced environment for everyone. An eye cover and blanket will be provided to enhance your comfort and make your session more enjoyable.

A typical session will begin with a soothing guided meditation, followed by the gentle sounds of a sound bath featuring crystal singing bowls and Koshi chimes for a multi sensory journey allowing the body and mind to ease into a deeper and more elevated state of relaxation. High vibrational frequencies of Reiki energy will then be infused to further enhance the experience. The energy is channeled and flows through me by placing my hands either on or just above the individual, depending on the client’s preference, engaging with the body’s chakras and energy fields.Through a series of hand placements around the body, combined with the use of Tibetan bowls, the flow of energy is guided to areas that need additional care and attention, helping to realign the chakra system. We will conclude the session with the soothing tones of Koshi chimes and a guided meditation, gently bringing you back to the present moment.

After the session, you are welcome to share your thoughts about the experience and reflect on your overall state of well-being.

Reiki chair sessions offer the same benefits as traditional Reiki sessions in a way that is more accessible to some animals and individuals

  • A Reiki chair session is a type of energy healing that is performed while the individual is seated in a comfortable chair, rather than lying down on a massage table. This approach provides a more flexible way for those who may find it difficult to lie down or who prefer to remain seated.

The session begins with the client sitting comfortably in a chair, often with their feet flat on the ground and hands resting on their lap. Pending your pet’s disposition, they can either sit on your lap or roam freely within the space provided. We will begin with some breathing exercises followed by a soothing guided meditation. Reiki is channeled through me with various hand placements as the energy flows in the body and around your aura.

You are encouraged to share your thoughts about the experience and reflect on your overall state of well-being should you wish.

  • A sound bath featuring crystal singing bowls, Tibetan healing bowls, and Koshi chimes offers a unique, multi-sensory journey that guides participants into deep relaxation and inner peace, supporting both physical and emotional healing. The vibrational frequencies and sounds work together to naturally restore the flow of energy within the chakras. When combined with Reiki, this sound healing experience promotes balance and tranquility for the mind, body and spirit.

Crystal singing bowls are tuned to a specific frequency that aligns with the body’s chakras. These sounds create a deep, calming atmosphere, promoting relaxation, energy alignment, and healing on a cellular level. The vibrations from the bowls are not only heard but also felt throughout the body, helping to release stress and tension.

Tibetan bowls add another layer of vibrant harmony. These bowls produce gentle, melodic tones that resonate with ancient traditions of healing and meditation. Their sounds are believed to help clear the mind, balance the energy field, and enhance spiritual clarity. The combination of the chimes with the singing bowls creates a deeper connection to the present moment.

Koshi chimes are encased in bamboo offering soft, delicate tones each one representing the four elements of nature; air, water, earth, and fire. These enchanting chimes have a natural, flowing sound that ignites a sense of peace and tranquility. Their higher frequencies serve to gently lift the participant’s energy offering a light, uplifting experience.

  • Chakras, meaning “wheel” in Sanskrit, are the energy centers within the body. Humans have 7 major chakras: root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown. However, animals possess an additional major energy center called the Brachial Chakra, located between the shoulder blades. This chakra is considered to be the main energy point that connects all the other chakras in the animal’s body and in forming the human-animal bond.

While animal and human chakras are located in different areas of the body, they share similar qualities when working in unison.
